Current sensing is an integral part of many electronic circuits today. From determining the charge level of a battery, to metering the current flowing through an electronic meter, current sensing resistors are basically used to generate a very reliable low voltage signal which can be then fed to a measuring circuit to determine the current in the circuit.
The resistors need to be stable, have low thermal EMF and have low temperature drift to ensure accurate measurement over a range of ambient temperatures.
We offer current sense resistors in different designs like leaded and surface mount. In surface mount we have a choice of foil type resistors (ERL/KRL) and E-Beam welded trimetal resistors (PEBW, EBWD).
In leaded type we have ceramic housed current sense type (PCL & PCLR) and moulded case resistors (PML) type.
